He's a backcountry skier, climber, figure skater, mountain biker, amateur radio operator, river runner, and sea kayaker- but the thing that really floats his boat is hiking and backpacking. No matter what else he tries, the author always come back to hiking- especially long, rough, cross-country trips in places like the Grand Canyon. Some people never learn. But what little he has learned, he's willing share with you- via his books, of course, but also via his websites, blogs, and whatever works.

For people wanting to learn about the various Amazon Kindle tablets BEFORE shelling out their money, this is an excellent resource.
I have a Kindle Fire HD. I love it for books, audio and Kindle, Whispersync is one of Amazon's best kept secrets and is extremely affordable on a Kindle Fire. I also enjoy videos, downloads and youtube, on the Fire HD. Otherwise, though, the only other advantage of a Kindle tablet is the low price.
Still, for those insistent upon learning the ins and outs of Amazon's foray into tablet computing, The Complete 2015 User's Guide to the Amazing Amazon Fire Tablets is as good as it gets. Very comprehensive and easy to read.
